This piece is inspired by my love for boats and the sense of freedom that I feel when on the open water. It is made from recycled copper, copper wire and brass and is mounted on a spalted beech base. The copper has been patinated to achieve the striking blue/green tones. There are lots of subtle details to enjoy in this piece from the salty waves to the delicate stars on the sails.
